The 82nd Airborne Division's monument to their fallen from the 3rd Brigade that served in Vietnam is located outside the division's museum at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, on the corner of Ardennes and Gela Streets.
In the Airborne tradition of displaying the boots of their fallen troops, atop the monument is a pair of bronze boots, an M-16 rifle with bayonet in the ground, and a helmet on the butt of the rifle.
It is my hope that those veterans of the 82nd Airborne Division's 3rd Brigade that haven't made it back to Fort Bragg to see this monument will appreciate these photos.

As the soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division fly home, the troopers of the 82nd Airborne Division get settled in for the long road ahead, but say they are ready for the challenge.
