Omri - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In foreign affairs, this period paralleled the rise of the Kingdom of Aram based in Damascus, and Israel soon found itself at war in the northeast.
Most threatening, however, was the ascendancy of Assyria, which was beginning to expand westward from Mesopotamia: the Battle of Karkar (853 BC), which pitted Shalmaneser III of Assyria against a coalition of local kings, including Ahab, was the first clash between Assyria and Israel.
It was the first in a series of wars that would eventually lead to the destruction of the Kingdom of Israel in 722 BC and the reduction of the Kingdom of Judah to an Assyrian tributary state.

Ahab - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
He married Jezebel, the daughter of king Ithobaal I of Tyre, and the alliance was doubtless the means of procuring him great riches, which brought pomp and luxury in their train.
The one event mentioned by external sources is the Battle of Karkar (perhaps at Apamea), where Shalmaneser III of Assyria fought a great confederation of princes from Cilicia, Northern Syria, Israel, Ammon and the tribes of the Syrian desert (853 BC).
The Assyrian king claimed a victory, but his immediate return and subsequent expeditions in 849 BC and 846 BC against a similar but unspecified coalition seem to show that he met with no lasting success.

King Mentuhotep IV (1997-1991 BC) of Dynasty XI (Middle Kingdom) (11), and King Psamtik II (595-589 BC) of the XXVI Dynasty (Saitic Period) (12) celebrated jubilees in their short reigns of 6 years.
Although King Niuserre (2453-2422 BC) of Dynasty V reigned for about 30 years, I doubt the jubilee was traditional and I do believe it was related to a solar eclipse.
This shows that the advent of Dynasty IV was in 2625 BC, with a margin of error of only a few years.

Osorkon II, of Egypt's 22nd Dynasty
Sermon II, a Libyan, succeeded Takelot I in 874 BC to become the fifth ruler of Egypt's 22nd Dynasty, known as the Libyan or Bubastite Dynasty, at Tanis.
By the end of his reign, Assyria under king Shalmaneser III (858-828 BC), was wielding considerable influence over the Levant after overcoming northern Mesopotamia and Syria.
Hence, in 853, Egypt was forced to confront the threat by aligning with Israel and the neighboring kingdoms, including her old ally Byblos so that together, they could halt the Assyrian advance, which they did at the battle of Qarqar on the Orontes.
