		The 906 was finally fitted with the suspension system of the 904, the reason was that Porsche had planned to make a second production run of 904's and had placed orders to its suppliers.
		Before fitting the new engine to the 906, Porsche engineers lowered its weight from 184 kg to 130 kg., to accomplish this,the engine original steel parts were replaced by aluminium, while the original aluminium parts were replaced by titanium ones.
		The 906 would be replaced later by the Porsche 910, this was the first model that Piëch and his RandD team could design and develop, putting into work all their new ideas without any ties with the past.

		Quite simply, there are too many individuals and companies negatively affected by the 906 patent, and it seems the patent is only benefiting Eolas and the University of California.
		I would simply leave that fact as a circumstance of capitalism, but the gross vagueness of the 906 patent leaves me questioning the validity of the University of California's claim that this patent is intellectual property.

		The latest round on the '906 patent took place on May 11, when Eolas submitted a written rebuttal to the PTO’s ruling that rejected claims #1 and #6 as being unpatentable.
