	Seattle City Council News Release: Council Set to Declare Opposition to I-912
		SEATTLE — A resolution declaring opposition to Washington State Initiative 912 and urging all Seattle voters to vote against it in the November 8 General Election will be presented and voted on by the Seattle City Council Monday, October 10th at 2:00 p.m.
		If approved by statewide voters, I-912 would repeal the transportation funding package enacted by the 2005 State Legislature and slated for statewide transportation and public safety projects.
		“The passage of I-912 would be costly to cities and towns across the state,” said Council President Jan Drago, “reducing or eliminating funding for over 250 transportation projects.

		If your car is 12V then you can use a VW starter from a 68 or new automatic beetle and it will mate with the 912 flywheel.
		If it's 6V, then you can eat the core charge & buy a VW Bosch #113 starter which was only used briefly in Europe on 65/66 VW beetle & Karman Ghia automatics, they are very scarce.
		The 912 oil filler cannister must be shortened to clear the deck lid.

		In early April 1965 the Porsche factory announced the 912, with the same aerodynamics, ergonomics, style, and quality of construction as a six-cylinder 911.
