 Fire Trucks
Most of the pieces for the fire trucks I have built have come from many, many sets over the years (20) and many of the parts are getting harder to get.
The four stud wide fire trucks are mainly from before I started building six wide vehicles and will seem cruder compared to some of the six wide units.
The six wide concept was driven by the need to have multiple fire fighters in the cab of the truck.

 Fire Support Base Development
By utilizing the FSB concept we are able to achieve maneuverability or mobility along with firepower.
Normally a small detachment of engineers does remain on the FSB to assist in further developing the position through the installation of airfield matting on the LZ's, additional tree cutting on the periphery to ensure that fire is not masked, & various tasks of this nature.
Built by engineers, defended by the infantry& manned by artillery, the fire support base is a successful example of USMC flexibility and response.

A big change from the previous three scores, The Goblet of Fire is a dark and heavy score with little of the whimsy and fun we've come to expect.
Patrick Doyle's concept contradicted every concept from the past original scores and completely ruined the feel of this movie.
It is also deeply upsetting that Doyle is composing "Eragon" (Dec. 2006)Well, at least this film is the first in a potential trilogy, so perhaps here may be where Doyle is more at home, because, let me tell you, he sure as heck was not at home with the Goblet of Fire.

Wildwood Survival - Fire - Can of Coke and a chocolate bar
The original concept was to investigate unique and unusual ways of making fire using everyday objects that one might be carrying around, should one be stranded in the wilderness.
After you are done reading about how to make fire from a can of coke and a chocolate bar, please take some time to look around.
For something slightly different to do with a pop can, yet still related to fire, go to this page on PCTHiker.com, where the author describes how to make an alcohol backpacking stove from a Pepsi can.

Fire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fire is extinguished when one or more elements of heat, oxidizer, or fuel is removed; this concept is used in the fire triangle.
Fire starts when a fuel with adequate supply of oxygen or other oxidizer is subjected to enough heat, and it is sustained by the further release of heat energy in the process, as well as a continuous supply of oxygen and combustible fuel.
Fire is not a state of matter: rather, it is an exothermic oxidation process by which heat and light energy are given out.

This concept is fire dependence and applies to natural communities that are adapted to and rely on the effects of fire to make the environment more hospitable for that community’s plants and animals.
Fire ecology is a branch of ecology that studies the origins of wildland fire and its relationship to the biotic and abiotic environment.
Frequency of fire is largely determined by the ignition source(s) and the duration and character of weather that favor the spread of fire.

 Secret Fire
As we can see, the concept of kundalini, or the Secret Fire, is linked to two polar concepts: that of the undifferentiated creative energy, and the second, as the seed of this energy locked on each cell of material creation, and focused in humanity at the base of the spine.
Alchemically, Salt is derived from the union of Elemental Earth and Elemental Water (or Assiah and Yetzirah), the Secret Fire is ‘hidden’ in the Salt (material body) and represents the unconscious, instinctual forces that seek release.
The Triangle of Fire is composed of Saturn at the apex, and Mercury and Venus at the base corners, with the Sun in the center.

 LAGUNA BEACH CONDOMINIUMS DESIGN CONCEPT
Fire stopping was required at all penetrations through the fire-resistance-rated assemblies, both walls and floors, to maintain the integrity of the separation.
Fire stopping is required in non-sprinklered, vertical and horizontal concealed spaces, with dimensions exceeding the limits specified in Subsection 3.1.11.
In the calculation of the fire resistance rating, no contribution is assigned for a membrane on the non-fire-exposed side, since this membrane is expected to fail when the structural members fail.

 Introduction to Fire Ecology
Other benefits of prescribed fire include: insect pest control, removal of undesirable plants competing for nutrients, addition of nutrients from ash, and removal of sunlight inhibiting brushy undergrowth.
1) Fire Dependence: This concept applies to species of plants that rely on the effects of fire to make the environment more hospitable for their regeneration and growth.
This provides a greater diversity of vegetation and consequently a greater diversity of wildlife species.Although the common conception is that fire is a destroyer of the natural environment, the opposite is actually true, where a carefully planned prescribed burning program can be beneficial and even enhance the health of an ecosystem.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones > Review
One of the unique appeals of Fire Emblem is the concept of permanent death; when a character falls in battle in Fire Emblem, there are no phoenix downs or resurrection spells to revive them; you lose them, they’re gone forever.
But in contrast to the first GBA Fire Emblem, which offered only one progression per class, in Sacred Stones, you are given more choices of what type of character you want each member of your party to become.
For the first time in the history of the Fire Emblem series, gamers are given traditional fantasy monsters, such as skeletons, zombies and gargoyles, with whom they can do battle.

 Tactical Firefighting - CFBT
This objective of taking control of interior conditions at the outset of fire operations is based upon the ‘safe-person-concept’ where an immediate risk-based approach, evaluating risk versus gain, is applied at the earliest opportunity, i.e.; on fire service arrival.
There are references to traditional forms of mounting an attack on the fuel-phase fire, as well as the relatively ‘new-wave’ approaches developed by firefighters in Sweden and England during the 1980s for dealing with the hazards of flashover, backdraft, smoke explosion, and other forms of fire gas ignition.
The techniques and tactics used to safely gain access to a fire compartment or structure, advance in safely, and mount an effective attack on the fire are described in some detail in the text.

Landscape Ecology of the Red Imported Fire Ant in a Post Oak Savanna
Samples of ants from colonies were taken throughout the study area to determine the distribution of the monogyne (single queen) and polygyne (multiple queen) forms of the red imported fire ant.
The objectives of the study are: (1) to consider the concept of functional heterogeneity of post oak savanna landscapes and how it relates to epidemiology of the fire ant, and (2) to develop a risk rating system for classification of post oak savanna landscapes based on their vulnerability to colonization by the fire ant.
Red imported fire ants were observed in all landscape elements throughout the post oak savanna study site, however, considerable variation in numbers of active red imported fire ant mounds were found.
