		Confusingly, "Corunna" in English is spelt "la Coruna" in Spanish and "A Coruna" in the region of Galicia, but all refer to the same district and conurbation in northern Spain.
		The greater province of A Coruna is Galicia’s most significant district and has the highest population, the greatest number of towns and cities and the most prosperous economy of the region.
		That said la Coruna is unmistakably a part of Galicia and it serves up the architecture, cuisine and Celtic ancestry of the region, but perhaps in a way that makes it a more easily accessible to the foreign tourist.

		I think it was due to the combination of being back in Spain, the company and the actually city/village we visited that contributed to making it a special break.
		I could put the blame on the people of La Coruna however I know that this is in fact a problem or issue that exists the world over.
		Along with the food that we had (I seriously recommend the beef if you’re in the city as it most definitely is a specialty), the people that we met, the nightlife all gave La Coruna that special place in my heart.
