	DVD Review: A Few Good Men: Special Edition
		SOUND: "A Few Good Men" is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 here, but apparently, that wasn't the case with the original DVD, which was offered in only Dolby 2.0.
		Although his commentary for "A Few Good Men" is still filled with gaps of silence, he does offer some interesting information when he does choose to speak up - mainly chatting about the behind-the-scenes stories involved in certain scenes or discussing working with the actors.
		A few moments become a little too story-heavy as they simply discuss what's going on next in the tale, but I was kept interested for the majority of the 34 minute running time.

		While the script to AFGM is reasonably intelligent, and director Rob Reiner manages to keep the pacing on an even keel, it’s really the actors who carry the show.
		Backed by a stellar cast, A Few Good Men was a well-made production that suffered from a few small missteps but generally provided a provocative and entertaining affair.
		It’s good to learn the actors’ perspectives on the film, and a few good anecdotes arise along the way, such as the description of the difficulties Sutherland experienced behind the wheel of a Humvee.

	Where Are All the Mr Rights?
		Too many people today signal young men, directly or indirectly, that lifelong commitments aren't a priority, that kids don't need wedded fathers, and that playing the field is a better deal than providing for a family you love.
		I am puzzled by the "lack of good men." I was considered beautiful, very intelligent, fun to be with, but alas, I had a great education when I went to marry in the 70\'s and 80\'s.
		What is left is an odd assortment: married men who want a girlfriend on the side; divorced men with serious financial, child-custody, or ex-wife problems; and single men who invite suspicion simply because they're still single.

		If anything, A Few Good Men errs by throwing almost too many elements, themes and moral debates into the mix thus, by default, they sometimes seem shallowly developed and overly simple.

		While their late in the film, courtroom showdown is the highlight of the picture, the moments leading up to that are constantly interesting and engaging.

		Most of you probably know it by now, as it is. A Few Good Men is on my (and my wife's) list of Top Ten movies of all time....with plenty of good reasons.
		It would be easy to look at this movie as simply a "blockbuster" kind of movie....which, essentially, it is. It's got A-list talent in front of, and behind the camera....it made a hell of alot of money at the box office, so yes it's a "blockbuster".
