Gerald has sagely surrounded himself with an ensemble of distinctive vocal talents to help flesh out his musical tracks.
While I wouldn't call it "flawless", I would say that its one of those albums that has the ability to really absorb the listener the way I like, not really aging when I listen to it over the years and having enough range to drive away droves of long nights with relative ease.
Gerald Simpson manages to add such a depth to his recording, with such beautiful songs as beaches and deserts on this his latest album.

The Jazz Fusion guys would probably be dressed in stretched jeans, frayed at the bottom and split to cover their spat dancing shoes.
They had a very basic step sequencer and they couldn't afford their own drum machine so it was borrowed from the guy working at the post office.
I hope this inspires people to take more risks, search for their own sounds and break out of the mould that has become dance music.
