While the positive aspect of love is that it brings two people together, the negative aspect of love is that it allows two people to part if they do not get along.
I loved my husband before we were engaged (we knew each other 6 months before getting engaged), but he didn't become my best friend until I totally committed myself to us getting married and being together forever (I had some reservations at the beginning of our engagement.)
