Blind Guardian is great there, as in any other album.
However, being a loyal Blind Guardian fan, I just listened to the album whenever I could, and after about the third time around, things started to take shape, melodies and guitar work began to crystallize, and the album began to reveal its beauty.
Blind Guardian spent a lot of time recording this and it was definitely worth the wait.

If you are at the start of your journey into Blind Guardian, "A Night at the Opera" may appear to you as definition of Best of Euro Metal 2002, bursting out quality and confidence, while "Tales from the Twilight World" would be too guitaric and basic.
Be it so, but my rating for "A Night at the Opera" is 3 3/4 and the answer is no.

I warned you with the single And Then There Was Silence, Blind Guardian is unpredictable and believe me this song has nothing to do with the full album, absolutely nothing.
is their best ever effort as A Night At The Opera will stay in the history of metal forever.

As to the controversial new album "A Night At The Opera", it was represented by just three tracks, which was quite surprising (I would have chosen three different tracks off that one), but worked just fine, for the new songs were unknown to a considerable share of the crowd.
I personally was looking forward to see Blind Guardian as well, even though their latest album did not seem convincing to me and though I was extremely concerned over the acoustics of the hall.
The Blind Guardian music is very demanding, and to be honest, the skills in playing the bass that I could provide the band with are not good enough right now, so I would have to spend a lot of time rehearsing bass properly and I doubt that I will find the time.

A night at the opera is a terrific album.
The long awaited Blind Guardian DVD entitled "Imaginations Through The Looking Glass" will be released in Germany on June 14, 2004 (other release dates to follow as they are confirmed).

And now I've renamed the album & night at the opera" of "Blind Guardian" to "Night of the opera" to prevent merging it with "Queen", but I think this isn't a good solution.
Now I see that it has been added to the album "Night at the opera" by the artist "Queen".
Isn't it possible to implement an option in future versions which prevent the merging of tracks which are located in diffent folders on the harddisk.
