		So one of the ironic inheritances of the latter nineteenth century from evolutionist thought is that, well, yes, in fact, there is this hierarchy that is so entrenched in human development that it's unlikely to change at all.
		So, scientific racism isn't new at the turn of the century or on into the 1910's, but what is new is the range of sciences now that are organizing themselves around the race concept and are actively and feverishly, one might say, investigating race in various ways.
