Mercy Ships has awarded a contract for the completion of the conversion project to MSC (Europe) Ltd. and both parties are confident the project can be completed at the Hebburn facility.

The ship will be moored in the Graving Docks, alongside Techniquest, where it will be open to the public from Saturday 14 December 2002 until Wednesday 1 January 2003 inclusive.
Members of ship’s crew will be on hand to speak to visitors and demonstrate all the ship’s re-fit activities such as splicing, rope twisting and knotting, re-rigging, sail repair and traditional carpentry but for safety reasons the public will not be allowed on board.
