		This collection takes their singles from 1980 up to 1984, and was released before their politically conscious Through The Barricades album.
		This was their debut single, scraping the UK Top Five, and along with MTV exposure, paved their way to a decent run on the charts for the next couple of years.
		This collection represents the domination of dance-oriented synth pop that ruled the airwaves at the time, as well as why Spandau Ballet was an influential force in the Second British Invasion.

	Bob Marley - Africa Unite: The Singles Collection : album review
		This is partly due to the fact that most of Marley's singles weren't the songs about Africa, although his music did inspire a unity and appreciate for fl music.
		It was the foundation for their most political album, 1979's Survival.
		While the likes of Concrete Jungle and Exodus touch on the issue of existence, life and hope, Africa isn't explicitly a theme on the record except for Survival's one contribution, Africa Unite, which is subject to a nondescript "remix" from the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am.

		This new album re-releases hard-to-find singles originally issued on 45 inch and "compact 33" vinyls, featuring the original Limeliters: Lou Gottlieb, Alex Hassilev, and Glenn Yarbrough, with a few cuts of Ernie Sheldon as well.
		Many of these tracks you've never heard on an album; even the Limeliters greatest hit (at least as far as airplay goes), "A Dollar Down," which hit #60 on the radio charts for 1961, was inexplicably never recorded on an album.
		An acknowledgement to the contributions of Ernie Sheldon on this album is important.

		Which means that, relatively speaking, they're more about song than groove, and that their groove has a little more reggae/herb skank and a little less benga/whatever propulsion--they're gentler, more ruminative.
