		As far as I'm concerned, all a beginning book on sight reading should do is give you the nuts and bolts information on how to read notes on the staff, and give you a minimum of good exercises showing where all those notes actually are on the guitar.
		I've had students suggest in the past that perhaps I should write a beginning sight reading book where you learn songs by Hendrix, Pearl Jam, etc. That way it would be interesting and so forth.
		I'm sure you may have to trick a first grader into learning the alphabet with a simple song (remember the alphabet song?), and you will probably have to push him into reading, too.
