	Target Suite in Kill Vehicle's Field of View
		After its release from the interceptor booster, the kill vehicle uses its on-board sensor to look for the objects released by the attacking missile, and then collect data on them to try to determine which object is the mock warhead.
		Assuming the kill vehicle's infrared sensors have a field-of-view of one degree, then two objects separated by five and a half kilometers could not be seen simultaneously when the kill vehicle was closer than about 300 kilometers.
		This is illustrated in the figure by the fact that the field-of-view of the kill vehicle's sensors (shown by the fl and red squares) cannot contain all of the objects at the same time.

		Many bestow that dubious honor on A View to a Kill, but I still have to give the nod to Moonraker, which is by far the most consistently insipid of the lot.
		A View to a Kill rises at least a notch above the worst because the first half of the film features some fine, suspenseful storytelling, with the distinctive air of a serious Bond thriller.
		By the time A View to a Kill saw its theatrical release in 1985, Roger Moore had gone well past his prime as the cinematic James Bond, and it's a shame he wasn't given a more respectable vehicle—something with the integrity of For Your Eyes Only—for his final fling.

		And although not nearly as bad as critics ripped it apart to be in 1985, A View to a Kill does not live up to the very best of the Bond franchise.
		Perhaps then the best that can be said of A View to a Kill, is that, like Moonraker, it is a film that begs you not to take its plot or characters too seriously.

		I've always been surprised that A View to a Kill is the most successful Bond song to date as I always felt it was one of the weakest.
		Barry's experiences writing with Duran Duran were not terribly enjoyable, although in the same way that The Living Daylights is a mixture of a-ha and Barry, A View to a Kill does have traits of both the band's style as well as Barry's.
		For some curious reason, A View to a Kill has become the most rare Bond score, seemingly only available on import from Japan at not inconsiderable cost.

		Films made in Hollywood are now shown all over the world, to audiences that may not understand the dialogue or even look at the subtitles, but can't possibly miss the message--now Disney's message--that hearing the screams of the innocent is a really fun way to express yourself.
