  Commodore: A3000T
It is easy to assume that the A3000T is the same as the A3000 but shipped in a full tower instead of a desktop case, however the A3000T is infact a totally separate motherboard.
The A3000T probably has a small amount of NVRAM designed to hold the configuration settings for the SCSI controller which is the same chipset as in the desktop model.
The A3000T contains a builtin scandoubler which allows PC type SVGA monitors to display the native NTSC and PAL Amiga screenmodes, which can be disabled with a switch on the rear.

The Amiga 3000T   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
In October 1991, Commodore introduced the A3000T, a tower version of their popular A3000 machine.
The A3000T uses a 25Mhz 68030 processor, with a 68882 maths-coprocessor, as well as 2MB of 32-bit ram as standard, expandable up to 18MB actually on the motherboard.
As it was released before SIMMs became a standard it uses Zip ram, a slower alternative.

The A3000T provides users with built-in expansion capabilities without the need for external devices.
"The A3000T represents the next wave of A3000 technology," said David Archambault, director of business markets, Commodore Business Machines, Inc. "it is a multimedia workstation that combines all the capabilities of the A3000 with an unprecedented level of expandability and power."
The A3000T supports a variety of drive bays -- two 3.5-inch drives; one 5.25-inch half-height drive, mounted horizontally; and two 5.25-inch half-height drives, mounted vertically.

Amiga 3500   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
A likely cause for the A3500 never being officially released is that it was probably the pre-cursor to the A3000T which is almost identical, apart from a slightly different case and some minor differences mentioned below.
Unlike the A3000T, the A3500 lacks a CD-ROM audio connector for mixing in the sound output of a CDROM, however it has two hard disk LEDs, instead of one and a power LED.
The actual A3500 case is based upon a tower case which Commodore used with one of their PC systems (read IBM Clone) but had a different name plate and an extra externally accessible drive bay.

Essentially, remember this: if your drive can't be inserted completely because it is hitting a screw or a little metal tab, the screws can be loosened (to get them out of the way temporarily), and the tabs can be moved to several different positions.
