As well as improving the A46, the A435 is now dualled and fully GSJ from here to Birmingham and a free flowing interchange is provided with M46.
This is shown in the Birmingham A-Z with the southbound exit slip further north of the GSJ with a local road running alongside the A435.
The other junctions are all guesswork and I'm not entirely sure there was going to be a junction with the A4189 because this is right on the edge of the A-Z map and there appears to be no slip road but an extra quarter inch on the map would have revealed all.

The best Boehm system flutes of the middle 19th century onwards were pitched at A=435, known as French, or Continental pitch, though there were other pitches too.
The pitch we play at now varies between A440 to A446 and to attempt to play an A435 flute at modern pitch is extremely difficult.
To raise the pitch of a flute from A435 to A440 or above cannot be done by shortening the head joint.

Despite this, your report in the June 29 issue claims that ‘a decision -by the council as to which route will go forward to the next stage is set to be made on 26 July’.
This so-called thoughtful planning seems to mean moving and increasing traffic near to the hospital and the Leys school and adding problems of access to the roundabout at the end of the Alvechurch Highway.
Ills highly unlikely a central government of any political persuasion is going to stump up the lion’s share of £50 million to fund a grandiose scheme to improve the A435 when the road is about to be de-trunked and a cheaper alternative exists.

Sent: 11/22/2003 12:57 AM I think building the new A435-A441 link would take some traffic off the A34 too because some drivers would take the A435 rather than the A34 exit off the M42.
I submitted my sketch to the council several years ago when it was trying to pass through a plan to turn the A435 through Kings Heath and Moseley into an expressway.
The A435 is a bed road for the Kings Heath locals (of which I was one), and the roads around Sainsburys are a nightmare.
