		The M67 is a short motorway in Tameside, Greater Manchester, forming an A57 bypass for the towns of Denton and Hyde.
		Although the motorway was constructed as a bypass for the old A57, it never strays more than a mile from the original route, passing almost through the town centres of Denton and Hyde.
		It provided a new motorway link across the Pennines, linking the two cities together by motorway, avoiding the notorious Snake and Woodhead passes, which are often closed in snowy weather.

		Its speed limit was also raised from an initial 30 to the current 50 when it was realised that vehicles were capable of travelling on the road without falling off at this less draconian speed.

		Try staying on the A57 then A57(M) to the A6 junction where the r'bout was removed when the flyover went in some years ago.
		The A57 is out a a possible way out of L'pool as there is a r'bout just after the A5058 crossroads, though I suppose you could use A57, A5058 as an alternative to A59 to get to the A580.

		The M67 forms a bypass for the A57 through Denton and Hyde just east of Manchester, though not a bypass for the towns themselves, as it ploughs straight through both of them.
		It was intended to provide a clear route for A57 and A628 traffic to and from Sheffield.
		The problem with the road is that while building a motorway for Manchester to Sheffield traffic is a great idea, what's really needed is for the M67 to go a bit further - another 30 miles to Sheffield would be nice.
