ABC were an English pop band of the 1980s.
ABC were formed in 1980, and were initially a part of the New Romantic movement.
After releasing several unsuccessful singles, the band had several major hits during 1982, with the singles "Poison Arrow", "The Look Of Love" and "All Of My Heart", later that year the band released their debut album The Lexicon of Love which was a big hit reaching No1 in the British album charts.

Originally a brass band, it was converted to a concert or military band in 1972 with the inclusion of woodwind instruments and increased in size to a strength of 34 musicians.
The Band originated as the junior band of the 11/44th Battalion of the City of Perth Regiment and in 1960 was incorporated as the National Youth Brass Band of Western Australia.
It is the oldest pipe band in Western Australia and amongst the oldest civilian bands in the southern hemisphere.

ABC is an English New Wave band that charted eleven Top 40 singles between 1981 and 1990.
ABC was formed in 1980 in Sheffield after Martin Fry, a music journalist, interviewed the band Vice Versa for his fanzine Modern Drugs.
The revamped band were pigeonholed as part of the New Romantic movement of the time, which included the likes of Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and The Human League.

NEW YORK Oct 19, 2006 (AP)— Sharon Osbourne says she plans to remove a gastric band that helped her lose 125 pounds and instead rely on psychotherapy to cope with her weight issues.
Osbourne, who has written a memoir, "Sharon Osbourne Extreme," had surgery in 1999 to have the gastric band put inside her, but intends to shed it in December (when she returns to the U.S. from Britain).
Though the band is designed to limit food intake by squeezing down the stomach's capacity, she packed on 15 pounds this year, she says, "from overeating."
