ABC Music: Radio 1 Sessions - Stereolab - Pandora Internet Radio
ABC Music, the two-disc, 32-track compilation of Stereolab's BBC Radio 1 sessions from July 1991 to August 2001, is a surprisingly illuminating and listenable set.
Although this may come as a shock to some casual listeners, Stereolab can be a ferocious live band, and their trademark blend of Krautrock, easy listening, and Brazilian influences (in different proportions throughout their career) usually has an added aggressiveness in a live setting.
ABC Music is probably not the place to start for the complete Stereolab novice, but any fan will be impressed.

How to interpret abc music notation
Abc is not reliant on the user even having a computer, or on a computer having any specific music hardware and software.
Abc also includes a rhythm field, R:, which is used for cataloguing and sorting collections of abc tunes: this is entirely free text (although there are obvious ‘standard’ entries eg R:reel, R:jig, R:schottische).
If there is a subsequent tune in the abc file there will be at least one blank line after the end of the first melody, then the start of the second tune is denoted by the X: field of the next tune.
