	Meks & Violence - The History of The ABC Warriors
		Like Ro-Busters before it, ABC Warriors carried an anti-authority air hidden in its pages, showing these robot servants voicing distrust and even hatred toward their human masters, something which Mills later took on to Nemesis The Warlock (albeit in a different and more extreme form).
		ABC Warriors was meant to be a two artist production, with Kevin O'Neill and Mike McMahon handling the art, but as the series progressed, more artists had to be drafted in to make sure everything was kept on schedule, something which infuriated Mills.
		During the initial chapters, The Warriors took on a group of robots known as The Mekaniks in a bloody battle (graphically illustrated by Bisley), and captured a human female in the shape of Terri.

	Student Book World - The A.B.C. Warriors: The Black Hole (2000 AD Presents)
		This book is sort of abstracted from much of the ABC warriors as a reader of early 2000AD might know them, but does tie in with the Nemesis storyline and is a nice addition to those stories.
		For those not in the know the ABC Warriors are a band of war-robots of varying ages (centuries in all cases) seemingly destined to fight for causes that aren't there own for eternity- the ABC stands for Atomic, Bacterial, Chemical- they are resistant to all three forms of assault.
		The artwork brought ABC Warriors to a new level back in '87 and it is still staggeringly good- two artists drew this book.

		If you've never read this but know the early ABC Warriors material then be prepared for a couple of surprises in the transformations of key characters under the influence of Khaos.

		The Warriors weren't my first encounter with the Galaxy's Greatest, but they were one of the most memorable and they've remained firm favourites ever since.
		Of the two, Ezquerra seems least comfortable on the strip and his art here certainly doesn't bear comparison with the work he was doing on Strontium Dog at the time.
		Mills has revisited Mars in his more recent Warriors stories, and while they crackle with ideas, they lack the focus and emphasis on simple storytelling of these earlier tales.
