  ACCBank - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ACCBank plc is a commercial bank in Ireland that focuses on agriculture, business and personal banking.
The bank has its origins in the Agricultural Credit Corporation set up in 1927 in the Irish Free State to finance agriculture, the bank was successful and lead to the creation of the Industrial Credit Company which was modelled on it and provided finance to industry.
In early 2002, the bank was sold by the Irish Government to Rabobank.

ACCBANK has signed a £346 million (euro 440 million) multi currency revolving credit facility agreement with a syndicate of 22 European banks.
Banks considering joining the syndicate were advised that this facility covered lending not just to ACCBank, but also to the proposed merged entity of ACCBank and TSB Bank and the subsequent flotation of NewBank.
ACCBank chairman Pádraic O’Connor said he was delighted with the success of the syndicate and the high quality of the banks involved.

ACCBank today said that it is offering two choices for the Government Special Savings Incentive Accounts.
ACCBank has promised that for all deposit accounts opened between May 1 2001 and September 1 2001 the rate payable will be equal to the prevailing ECB rate over the full term of the account.
For new accounts opened after September 1, the rate will always be within half a per cent of the ECB rate.
