The SIGSOFT Conference Attendance Program for Students (CAPS) provides financial assistance to graduate students to help defray costs of attending SIGSOFT-sponsored conferences and workshops.
Please note that SIGSOFT CAPS funds have a limited budget and there are many qualified students.
Common ways to reduce expenses are to buy airplane tickets early, to regsiter for the conference early, and to share a room and/or seek out a cheaper hotel alternative than the conferene hotel.

As of this writing, we're still trying to schedule a SIGSOFT general membership meeting; it's difficult because the week is packed with so many activities.
Alex Wolf, the program co-chair of ICSE 2000 and the vice-chair of SIGSOFT, will chair the meeting; I, unfortunately, have to leave ICSE 2000 early to go to some graduation activities at the University of Washington, in Seattle.

In addition to her distinguished service to ACM SIGSOFT, her technical achievements have earned her the prestigious ACM Fellow award.
