Medieval Warm Period - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The drier climate took place during the Medieval Warm Period (~AD An ice core from the eastern Bransfield Basin, Antarctic Peninsula, clearly identifies events of the Little Ice Age and Medieval Warm Period.
The core clearly shows a distinctly cold period about AD 1000–1100, nicely illustrating the fact that "MWP" is a moveable term, and that during the "warm" period there were, regionally, periods of both warmth and cold.
Corals in the tropical Pacific ocean suggest that relatively cool, dry conditions may have persisted early in the millennium, consistent with a La Niña-like configuration of the ENSO patterns.

Easter Island - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Published literature suggests the island was settled around AD 300-400, or at about the time of the arrival of the earliest settlers in Hawaii.
Midden contents show a sudden drop in quantities of fish and bird bones as the islanders lost the means to construct fishing vessels and the birds lost their nesting sites.
Archeologists now estimate that ceremonial site construction and statue carving took place largely between about AD 1100 and 1600 and may have consumed up to 25% of island-wide resources -- with some statues probably still being carved at about the time Jacob Roggeveen arrived.

By AD 1250, the abandonment of the great ceremonial center of Chaco Canyon and much of the Four Corners region was complete.

Archaeologists found that communities on the northern end of the valley contained rectangular pit houses and those on the south had round ones, reinforcing the oral history of two contemporary groups with different economies and worldviews.

Three alternate China-wide temperature composites covering the last 2000 years were established by combining multiple paleoclimate proxy records obtained from ice cores, tree rings, lake sediments and historical documents.
Five periods of temperature variation can be identified: a warm stage in AD 0-240, a cold interval between AD 240 and 800, a return to warm conditions from AD 800-1400, including the Medieval Warm Period between AD 800-1100, the cool Little Ice Age period between 1400-1920, and the present warm stage since 1920.
Regional temperature variation is found during AD 800-1100, when warm conditions occurred in Eastern China and in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau and in AD 1150-1380, when the southern Tibetan Plateau experienced a warm interval.

According to O'Connor, the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception was "handicapped by the lack of any clear Scriptural evidence (or, even...any explicit patristic tradition) in its favor, but it even seemed to go counter to the clear teaching of St. Paul...and Christ's own declaration..."
