AEA was the only engineering organization to testify in person against the 1990 immigration bill which opened the floodgates for foreign engineers to enter this country permanently.

The Australasian Epidemiologist is the publication of the AEA and is distributed free to all AEA members.
At the 2003 AEA AGM, a suggestion was put forward regarding the possibility of moving the Australasian Epidemiologist to a peer-reviewed journal.

Since its inception, AEA Retired members have been involved in a number of activities, including monitoring the Arizona State Retirement System and Investment Advisory Council decisions, lobbying the legislature to improve and protect retirement benefits, participating in the AEA Delegate Assembly and NEA Representative Assembly governance activities and supporting public education.
You then have yearly dues of $15.00 for AEA and $15.00 for AEA Retired (for cash members, after the first year, your dues are $30.00 for dues deduct a total of $2.50 per check).
