The player is given the name AFGNCAAP by the former Dungeon Master Dalboz of Gurth.
It is a joking reference to many other adventure games, including Infocom's original Zork games and the Stranger (Myst), in which the player's character has no identity or name.

The more I look at it I see what you two are conveying to me (about them being poses) and not expressive enough.
I am having mucho problems as I go through redoing the animation from scratch, but I'll have something up in a week (I hope).
I was acting out these moves and watching some clips to help me out, but I would say more of that influence was me "thinking" about the poses, motions, and movements vs the true action/reaction or flowthrough (you know, build up and release).

The name "AFGNCAAP" comes from Zork Grand Inquisitor: the Haunted Lantern which serves as your sidekick dubs the player this after failing to find an accurate third person pronoun to describe him/her/it.
Perhaps as a nod to this, though slightly characterizied, the player character in The Seventh Guest is called "Ego", Greek for "I".

All those caught or found to be associating with magic are taken to the old monastery (now Inquisition headquarters) and "totemized;" basically, flattened into a small disc about the size and thickness of a hockey puck.
You, as the AFGNCAAP, must join forces with the Dungeon Master Dalboz who was imprisoned in a lantern by the Grand Inquisitor.
The end sequence is nicely done and sets up the characters for a future Zork game, which sadly, doesn't seem to be in our future.

Besides Nemesis, there's also Grand Inquisitor which is a hilarious spoof of adventure games in general, with the great hero AFGNCAAP!
