The AGD Interactive used the Adventure Game Studio to create their games.

Britney Brimhall - Interview - Adventure Classic Gaming - ACG - Adventure Games, Interactive Fiction Games - Reviews, ...
She is the founder of Anonymous Game Developers Interactive (formerly known as Tierra Entertainment), a nonprofit independent game development team that, in 2001, has released freely a remake of King’s Quest which has earned her critical acclaim from both the series’ fan base and gaming media.
As for the name change from Tierra to AGD Interactive, we had felt Tierra was a great name while working on a parody of the King’s Quest I game.
People who were familiar with our remakes also became rather accustomed to the AGD acronym, so we decided to make a departure from Sierra and officially go with AGD Interactive.

Our first title was enjoyed by half a million fans, making AGD Interactive, LLC a major contributing factor in putting a dead genre back on the market.
Himalaya Studios is now continuing in AGD Interactive's footsteps, forging new paths in adventure game production.
Currently, we are working on an original, classic-style, commercial adventure game which utilizes hi-res, 2D, hand-painted backgrounds with prerendered 3D character models/animations and cutscenes--a fine marriage between the nostalgic feel of the classics and current technological standards.

The June 2004 meeting of the Phoenix chapter of the IGDA was held at the Art Institute of Phoenix, with talks by chapter members Britney Brimhall and Adam Mechtley.
This crash course in the dark (and all too common) side of remote collaboration caused her to eventually leave the project and seek like- minded individuals of similar passion and focus to begin a project of their own.
That project eventually became a remake of King's Quest I, which led to remakes by AGD Interactive of King's Quest II and, in the works, Quest For Glory II.

They have also announced that their commercial venture, Himalaya Studios, is ready to move into beta testing with their all original game Al Emmo and The Lost Dutchman’s Mine.
Their previous work on remakes of King’s Quest I and II were truly amazing and I am pretty sure that AGD Interactive is the best maker of graphic adventure genre games ever.

If you've played (or heard of) the King's Quest remakes by AGD Interactive, née Tierra, then you're familiar with Himalaya's pedigree—same core people, different name.
As the story begins, we meet Al Emmo—a short, nearsighted, portly, balding, and squeaky-voiced 42-year-old virgin who still lives with his parents—as he makes his way, by train, to the Southwestern town of Anozira to meet his mail-order bride, Ivanna Lottakash.
