	JS Online: Admirals officially join AHL
		The AHL unanimously approved the expansion of its league and the addition of the six teams at a board of governors meeting in Springfield, Mass.
		The AHL's expansion, in addition to the previous announcement of new franchises in Manchester, N.H., and Bridgeport, Conn., will bring the AHL to a membership of 30 franchises with 27 of those franchises expected to be active for the 2001-'02 season.
		In addition to expansion, the AHL announced that it has approved the transfer of ownership of the Kentucky Thoroughblades to the San Jose Sharks L.P. The AHL unanimously approved a request to transfer the franchise to Cleveland for the start of the 2001-'02 season.

		I was just wondering how much on average IHL, or AHL players get paid and what there pay is based on.
		Secondly, most of the players that are under contract with the NHL teams are under two way contracts and it depends on each individual contract as to how much each player earns.
		Usually, the player is slated make a certain amount if they play in the NHL and then a percentage of that, when they play in the AHL, or even the ECHL (A step lower than the AHL).
