	Alf: The Animated Series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Alf: The Animated Series (AKA Alf on Melmac) was a spinoff animated cartoon based on a live-action series of the same name.
		The show was a prequel, depicting Alf's life back on his home planet of Melmac.
		Since the name "ALF" was an acronym short for Alien Life Form and only given to Gordon Shumway later on Earth, "Alf" is never used in the animated series despite its title.

		I think alf was far superior to most 80's shows, but it definitely jumped the shark when they aired the Christmas special where alf is given to that irritating girl from "our house" and she calls him amanda.
		Alf himself was much funnier in the early days before he got a little soft, but I've grown used to popular TV shows wussing out over the years so it came as no surprise.
		Alf was a pretty enjoyable television program for the first three or so years, but they seemed to run out of plots in the last year, not to say the last year was terrible but it had a lot of rather crummy episodes, so I must put my vote in for season 4.
