The AMORC takes no definitive stance on the religious doctrines of any church or religious movement and states that its teachings do not contradict anything in the Bible, but rather new knowledge is revealed that provides a practical guide to living the right life that the teachings of various churches espouse (Lewis, 1941: 262).

A part of the silent welfare work AMORC members carry out every day is meditation at specific times of the day for the well-being of all those in distress, whether as individuals or community or nation.
Incidentally, throughout the period, while it kept claiming that AMORC was satanic, evil and demonic, there was no single person who could prove that the mystical organisation has ever, in its monographs or other literature, or by word of mouth, taught its students to do evil.
May God touch their hearts so that where they do not know, or are unable to establish the truth, they should be magnanimous enough to abstain from expressing an opinion, give the benefit of the doubt to the maligned one and ignore such statements until proven to be true.

AMORC insists that if its members wish to have a church (or other) funeral service in addition to that in the AMORC facility, then the Rosicrucian service must be the last one performed.
AMORC's philosophy is complex and mostly insupportable, not least of all because the records which are claimed to prove all of the teachings are at best, kept secret, and at worst, nonexistent.
While AMORC claims not to be a religion, it has been clearly shown that it is religious in nature, holding firm views on matters of religious importance.

 Raymond Bernard - Interview
My functions in AMORC were successively those of Grand Master, then Supreme Legate for Europe, and finally a member of the World Council made up, at that time, of only five members and headquartered in the United States, in California, the supreme seat of the Order at that time.
I thought, in order to prevent the members of the AMORC from dispersing, that it was judicious to establish within the bosom of AMORC, or in very close association with it, a movement, which would bear the name of Templar.
In AMORC, to cite only this movement, its supreme office was, and it is undoubtedly always so, in the final analysis, the expression of the will expressed by votes at the time of conventions open to all the members.

What happened between Gary L. Stewart and AMORC in 1990 is a rather complicated story in and of itself, not counting all the rumor and propaganda that has surrounded it.
In the meantime AMORC dissolved its corporate entity that had existed since 1927, reincorporated in Canada as a new entity, formed a new corporation in California, ceased to be a fraternal Order, and redefined "Imperator" from being the traditional head of an Order to being just the president of the new AMORC corporation.
