		We are a registered Charity who operate a Standard Gauge Railway between Buckfastleigh and Totnes in South Devon, England beside the fast flowing river Dart.
		The line was built by the South Devon Railway and first opened on 1st May 1872.
		It is used here because it's the version used by the former Great Western Railway in their publications and our stated objectives are to promote the standards which best reflect the traditions of the Great Western Railway.

	PAKISTAN: Old Railway in the Running for Rapid Transit Plan
		An attempt to restart it in 2000 failed for lack of patronage but then its managers discovered why -- the system did touch the workplaces of the commuting population but went nowhere near the ever-expanding slums where most of the city's working class lives.

	ADB Approves $400 Million Loan for Modern Zhengzhou-Xi'an Railway in PRC
		The railway line will be the first of eight passenger-dedicated railway lines to be developed in the PRC by 2020.
		A corporate entity will be set up to construct and operate the project and, as such, it will contribute to changing railway enterprises from cost centers in a planned economy to profit centers in an increasingly competitive transport market.
		The Ministry of Railways is the executing agency for the project, which is due for completion around December 2011.
