The Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista is the first United States Olympic Committee training facility to be master-planned and built from the ground up, dedicated to the development of U.S. Olympic athletes.
The training center also served as the home base for one of the top Paralympic athletes in the U.S., Marlon Shirley.
At the 2004 Paralympic Games, Marlon continued his reign as the fastest amputee in the world, winning a gold medal in the 100m, a silver medal in the 200m and a bronze medal in the Long Jump.

The center, the only exclusively outpatient sleep center in Italy, is part of the Italian National Health Service and mostly serves the province of Trentino’s 500,000 inhabitants, less than 1% of Italy’s total population.
The Arco center is one of 21 facilities accredited by the Italian Association for Sleep Medicine (AIMS) and could soon serve as a model for other sleep centers in Italy.

Although Arco Center's occupancy rate of 87 percent is considered respectable by downtown standards, that occupancy took several years to achieve.
