		ARRL Government Relations is the chief method by which Ham's are able to voice their opposition to various bits of legislation as a lobby.
		The ARRL is one of the chief opponents to this technology and seeks to assist the industry develop this form of networking in a way that will not endanger HAM radio frequency bands.

	American Radio Relay League - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		In addition the ARRL operates station W1AW, the Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Station, as a living memorial to the "Father of Organized Amateur Radio".

	ARRL News
		While the regulatory fee payment is required from licensees wishing to keep their current vanity call signs after renewal, vanity holders can opt to get a sequential call sign and avoid paying any fee when they renew.
		ARRL VEC Manager Maria Somma, AB1FM, says the FCC has been handling vanity call sign license renewals from June without any delay or problems.
		The service is available to ARRL members and nonmembers, although League members pay less.

	ARRL files appeal against FCC order
		ARRL, the national association representing amateur-radio licensees, has decided to file a court appeal of the FCC's latest order regarding permissible emissions levels from broadband-over-powerline, or BPL, providers.
		In a mid-October meeting, ARRL's executive committee voted to pursue legal action in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, said ARRL CEO David Sumner.
		Although the ARRL executive committee is committed to pursuing the legal action, it has not determined the full scope of the lawsuit.

	10 Years of ARRL Contests
		The ARRL 10 Meter Contest, whose log submission curve clearly follows the shape of the solar cycle, nevertheless has almost exactly twice as many log submission in 2004 as it had in 1995, almost a complete solar cycle in the past.
		The three ARRL HF contests that are exclusively or primarily domestic in nature (dominated by W/VE activity) have shown essentially flat or maybe slightly declining activity.
		The worst case is the ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes, where log submissions in the mid-1990s exceeded 1200 logs, but have bottomed out in the most recent five years around 800 logs, a decrease in activity of one third.

		To expedite the information-gathering process, the ARRL on March 8 alerted all radio amateurs living in ZIP code 20110 (Manassas) that "now is the time" to submit harmful interference complaints relating to the city's BPL system.
		ARRL CEO David Sumner, K1ZZ, described Hennessee as "a valued member of the Amateur Radio community far outside the walls of Headquarters" who achieved a lot in his brief lifetime.
		In addition to ARRL, Hennessee also belonged to the Quarter Century Wireless Association and was an active member of the Newington Amateur Radio League, where he was a Field Day regular.
