  HAPLAB ASSR RESEARCH
Mean (1SD) ASSR thresholds were 16 (11), 16 (10), 37 (10), and 33 (13) dBHL in pre-term infants and 14 (13), 2 (7), 26 (6), and 22 (8) dBHL in older infants at 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000 Hz, respectively.
ASSRs were obtained to “alternated” stimuli (stimulus inverted and ASSRs to two polarities averaged) to eliminate artifactual responses.
The purpose of this study was to estimate ASSR thresholds to bone-conduction stimuli in adults with normal hearing (N=10) using a B-71 bone oscillator placed on the temporal bone near the mastoid.

 Mobilities Conference 2007
However, ‘the notion of increasing the mobility of almost everything’ can be easily agreed upon as one of the ‘causes’ and/or ‘consequences’ of globalization, regardless of how it is conceptualized by different disciplines or academics.
It is for this reason that the ASSR has chosen to organize this conference on mobilities.
The conference aims to examine the notion of mobility from different perspectives, while avoiding the compartmentalization of this debate into the distinct spaces of different academic disciplines.

The ASSR database would be used for purposes far beyond air travel, allowing access to individuals' personal information for government functions at the local, state, federal, and even international level and even allowing access for certain employment decisions.
The ASSR database could limit individuals' ability to travel freely; engage in her chosen profession; obtain a student loan; drive a car; obtain government benefits for food and shelter; and provide the basis for arrest and detention abroad.
The ASSR database "may not be accessed for purposes of determining if the system contains a record pertaining to a particular individual." In addition, an individual may "request" access in writing for a limited set of information contained in the database or send a letter challenging the accuracy of information contained in the record.

Moldavian ASSR - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Moldavian ASSR or Moldovan ASSR (Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic; Romanian: Republica Autonomă Socialistă Sovietică Moldovenească) was an autonomous region of the Ukrainian SSR between 12 October 1924 and 2 August 1940, encompassing Transnistria (now in Moldova) and parts which are now in Ukraine.
The ASSR had a mixed Ukrainian (46%) and Romanian (32%) population which was estimated to be 545,500.
While the creation of ethnic-based autonomies was a general policy of the Soviets at that time, with the creation of Moldavian ASSR, Soviet Union hopes also to create pro-soviet irredentism in Basarabia.

Association for the Scientific Study of Religion - Southwest || About ASSR   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-19)
The Association for the Scientific Study of Religion-Southwest Region was founded in the early 1980s as an organization where researchers from the liberal arts and the social and behavioral sciences could gather each year to share their research efforts, interests, and ideas as they related to the study of religion in society.
Through the combined efforts of the late sociologist Morton B. King (1930-1993), and professors Harry Hale and Frank Forwood, as well as many others, the ASSR became a reality and joined with the Southwest Commission on Religious Studies (SWCRS) as an organizational section of their regional meeting, held annually in the Dallas, Texas area.
The ASSR-SW has been home to many prominent authors, researchers, and speakers throughout its history who shared the belief that religion is a critical element in the world in which we live and worthy of study and further understanding with the hope that such efforts have positive outcomes for our society and its future.

Detecting Hearing Loss in Children - Healthy Kids and Pediatrics - health and medical information produced by doctors
One advantage of ASSR is that the stimuli used to test the child's hearing are more frequency-specific, which allows the audiologist to predict hearing levels for a wide range of sounds with increased accuracy.
In addition, the ASSR is faster and has the ability to test at levels somewhat louder than the ABR (due to equipment limitations of the ABR), making the distinction between severe and profound losses more clear.
The ASSR is still undergoing a lot of research and the equipment is not readily accessible to most clinics at this time.

If ASSR is part of CAPPS II, then ASSR enables an intrusive data surveillance regime that intrudes on one's zone of personal privacy merely because a person chooses to exercise his or her right of domestic interstate travel on commercial aircraft.
If ASSR is part of, or is intended to be part of, CAPPS II, that fact should be plainly stated in the public notice.

The ASSR has been incorrectly characterized as always being a sinusoidal response, and that is just not correct — it could be a more complex waveform and not have a sinusoidal appearing response.
However, in a recent study, it was determined that ASSR is not a very good test for newborns, so at this point, using ASSR for a screening tool is interesting, but not yet ready for massive implementation in newborn screenings.
Another claim is that the ASSR is “more frequency-specific than ABR.” That’s a problem too, because the only two studies that addressed this issue showed that the results were indeed good, but not different than a tone-based ABR.

Originally part of the Checheno-Ingush ASSR, the Prigorodnyi region was given to North Ossetia in 1944 after Stalin's forced deportation of the Ingush and Chechens from the North Caucasus that same year.
According to the 1989 census, the last one conducted before the collapse of the Soviet Union, the North Ossetian ASSR had a population of 632,428, of which 334,876 were Ossetian, 189,159 Russian, and 32,783 Ingush.
The return of the Ingush and Chechens to the newly reconstructed Checheno-Ingush ASSR and to the Prigorodnyi region was further complicated bythe fact that between 1944 and 1957, 77,000 individuals from North Ossetia, South Ossetia, and Dagestan had been settled-some forcibly-in areas previously inhabited by Ingush and Chechens.
