		I haven't AB tested the Atrac files to the MP3 files, which are encoded at a higher bitrate, but I doubt that I would hear much difference.
		Sony's www.connect.com was talking about ATRAC being the format that their audio was encoded in and how it was "more superior" than any "normal mp3".
		Its one of the reasons atrac was developed, but I haven't had any test done meself, the only thing I have isn't nately designed for audio playback (the psp) but I keep hearing it over and over again.

		If you didn't have an NX, you could play Ogg Vorbus on your CLIE which are identical in size and compression to ATRAC but are half the trouble but since Sony had thier heads up thier you-know-what you cannot play Ogg due to the Sony API and not a Palm OS audio API.
		I have a white mg card but its a pro, i have put atrac music on it now but i cant play it in the audio player as it does not come up only mp3s will come up in the play list.

		As far as the PS3 goes, it supports up to ATRAC Advanced Lossless which the latest form of the ATRAC codec...it's main advantage is being able to compress a CD to anywhere between 30-80% of it's original size, without losing any quality.
		Thanks for the straight answer on the ATRAC question; I did a little research on the different types of ATRAC compression and i'm glad to see that they at least provided the latest type.
		The only problem with ATRAC however, is the fact that many MP3 players don't support it (gotta love that proprietary attribute that comes with a unique format), and i'm looking to be able to sync and copy my files to a player that isn't a Sony (i'm loyal to Creative, what can I say?).
