AWEB will be released with the same type of copyright that CWEB has and will be placed on the appropriate ftp and mail server sites.
When AWEB is ready I will post a short notice to this group.
It may be that I have an old version or beta version of his AWEB, or that someone modified it before placing it on the archive I retrieved it from.

 AWeb Header Fixing Proxy
AWeb has a few problems with currently used HTTP headers.
One of the only ways to stop AWeb from caching a page is to use an Expires header setting the page expiry in the past.
AWeb provides a filter plugin system which allows a plugin to read the incomming data stream and make any modifications necessary.

I tested some buttons with the latest AWeb APL Lite v3.5.08 beta and everything seems to be OK. If there are any AGA users, who want 5-8bit conversion, please let me know about this.

 Compiling AWeb APL Lite - AWebWiki
To get the AWeb Sources, you can either download them from a CVS backup here (http://aweb.sunsite.dk/files/src/) or check them out from CVS.
This compiler only works with the old SAS/C branches of AWeb and is deprecated after the release of AWeb 3.4 APL Lite.
This is the preferred compiler after AWeb 3.4 APL Lite and is the only compiler in use.

At least there are a lot of choices, all are available in free versions and together they provide most of the capabilities you'll find in browsers for other machines, except for frame support.
The authors wish to assure the existing registered users of the shareware versions of AWeb v1.x and HTML-Heaven v1.x that they will be able to upgrade to the new version.
A new demo version of AWeb v1.2 has now been uploaded to AmiNet for you to try out, some of the advanced features are not enabled in it, of course.

i got exactly the same problem with AWeb at the beginning of my MOS experiences(?).
AWeb needs the bitmap fonts courier and times.
In the archives are only provided the big sizes 24 and 36.You need the original ones from wb 3.x on floppy or cd to get them, then use fixfont tool to fix the.font files for all sizes they allow.

Third beta release of AWeb 3.5 is available (obviously it is the 2nd beta version written all for AmigaOS4 in PPC code) and last 1 november it was also updated again and gains proper SSL support.
That is why I stated that Aweb MOS PPC is based from existing AWEB AOS4.0 PPC.
Nevermind if Aos4 guys reuse your sources or if you have used Aos4 Aweb code, Merging your sources to official sources is the only way to have one day a fully working browser for Amiga And stop all stupid trolls.

 AWeb PowerPC JPEG Plugin
You will find this on the Aweb homepage.
Do not change the names of the plugins, as AWeb will silently ignore them if the filenames are incorrect.
If you get no output at all, then it is likely that AWeb isn't loading the plugin for some reason.
