Thanks to your posting I was able to see the CNN clip of Aaron Brown talking to John Aravosis of Americablog.org and Eric Boehlert of Salon regarding the Gannon/Guckert scandal and afterwards accessed the transcripts.
Brown seemed almost too eager to dismiss the entire story as piffle, saying immediately after the introductions, "John, there is I think here a kind of so what quality."
So according to Brown, Ritter is "radioactive" until he answers for his personal life and indeed Brown issues the not-so-veiled threat that until he opens up his personal life to the scrutiny Brown has decided it deserves, "no one is going to talk to you about the things that you feel passionately about."

It appears former CNN anchor Aaron Brown is still licking his wounds.
Speaking to a group in Medford, Oregon, on Wednesday, Brown suggested that the decline in television news is due to the choices being made by viewers, and that network executives are now basing their content decisions on what they believe the public wants to see versus what is really important.
Below are a few examples of Brown's bias from his CNN years -- he left ABC News in 2001 -- which the MRC's Rich Noyes and I quickly collected from NewsBusters and the MRC's archive.

Aaron Brown, Why Do Networks Parrot the Right Wing Spin? - BuzzFlash Reader Commentary
The studio generals were a fairly shameless exercise in sycophancy, to be sure -- but the interviewers' fixation on them allowed Brown to fritter away most of this interview insisting that the generals were a moot point because they were on stage to analyze the war, not judge it once it was under way.
Rather than seeing him grilled about his wartime guests, I'd like to have seen him pinned down on the larger issue of why the networks themselves have so consistently parroted the right wing spin on everything -- not just this war -- since late 2000.
When you think about it, Shock and Awe -- like Aaron Brown's sins as a journalist -- could be about much, much more than a war on Iraq.
