Escolopio said that they definitely will stay after the show to hang out for a while, but they have not received an itinerary yet to know if they will be able to stay for the game and overnight.
Escolopio was referring to Pleasure Island, from Disney's version of the wooden puppet story, where wicked little boys turned into donkeys if they stayed too long and had too much fun.
Escolopio said that he and the other three members of the bands, ages 19 to 23, are getting a good dose of college life, which they have replaced with concert touring and studio recording.

These Maryland-bred boys are JD Tennyson on guitar, Aaron Escolopio on drums, Ryan Escolopio on lead vocals on guitar, and Mike Schoolden on bass.
R. Escolopio has the perfect voice, which is rough with a whine at the back of his throat, for their brand of music.
It is also interesting how they go from R. Escolopio attempting a hardcore scream to a semi-melodic break in the music where his singing echoes.

Escolopio says he dropped out of school when he was 16.
One need only recall how young the Escolopios are to realize why that's so: As filtered down to them, punk music is no longer an anti-establishment pose; it's just chirpy, power-chorded production value fused with sulky attitudes, without all the sociopolitical or anarchic ranting and raving.
Escolopio cites, for example, bands such as Green Day and Blink-182 as influences — hardly the nose-thumbing stuff of punk's late-'70s British heyday and such urban-based protest bands as the Clash.

Upon entering Wakefield's famous Winnebago, I noticed their X-box which gets used heavily on long drives like the 3 hour one they had just completed, a drawer full of candy for their sugar rush needed before sets, and a faint smell of incense.
Ryan Escolopio had some business to take care of before the show with Mike Schoolden, but I got to chat with Aaron Escolopio and JD Tennyson for the interview.
Aaron Escolopio was quiet spoken, but everything he did say was very interesting, while JD was very open, talkative, and full of energy.

Ryan (obviously, brother of drummer Aaron) is the next in the recent trend of pretty boy pop-punk singers under the legal drinking age (he's 18.) His voice is generic, flat, and whiny.
He does all the trademark strains of someone singing from deep in their diaphragm, but apparently he forgets to fine-tune the note in his throat because the sound of his voice is severly lacking in substance.

Although the twins had literally zero experience playing music, they had no trouble recruiting two high school friends--bassist Paul and drummer Aaron (the band members prefer to use only their first names)--to form the original, four-piece incarnation of Good Charlotte.
