		Aaron's band - The Von Cello Band - has made several CDs and has delighted audiences around the country with their blend of hard, alternative, and jam rock.

		Well, that may be so, but the most recent of his (so far) three CDs, a solo recital made with the intention of giving the cello a voice in the popular, non-electronic, repertoire, doesn't do him too many favours.
		It is true that his performance of Ten American Cello Etudes by Aaron Minsky demonstrates some very lively technical studies, but like his own arrangements (Joan Baez and the Beatles) and his four compositions, there is little of musical interest beyond the technique.

	A Brush With Immortality
		Based on country music and blues rock, these pieces use string crossings and chords in a similar way to the American etudes and duets, but were hand tailored to actual high school students and can lead string players up to the level of the college and professional level music.
		The idea behind the writing of music on all of these levels is that now cellists can play Minsky's popular style music from the first weeks of study until they perform as artists in the concert hall!
		Adding to a small but important part of the cello repertoire, I also composed "Judaic Concert Suite" which is as yet unpublished.

		He had a solo program and took part in concert and master classes at Wuhan and in Nanning.
		One work he performed was Aaron Minsky's 10 American Cello Etudes, offering a potpourri of music styles from blues to Broadway, which the audiences loved, he recalled.
