		Abaddon Incarnate was a five piece back in 1989 and they then called themselves Bereaved.
		It was at this point that Bereaved changed their name to Abaddon Incarnate as they felt that the new music was distinctly faster, heavier and topically, heading in a new direction.
		Meanwhile, Abaddon were experiencing some difficulties in getting a studio and an engineer that would suit them and their new material.

		Season of Mist offered Abaddon Incarnate their first deal in 1998 and they traveled to Finland's Tico Tico studios to record the debut Album "The Last Supper".
		Seasons of Mist Records proved unsuitable for Abaddon Incarnate so the deal was dissolved and a new deal was struck with old friends and countrymen Sentinel records.
		Abaddon Incarnate headlined the Carnage Festival in Switzerland and a tour of Spain and France took place.

		Abaddon Incarnate are another Irish band that have been going for a lot longer than most people realise.
		Deciding that S.O.M were not 100% behind the band, they set out for a new deal and landed on Ireland's Sentinel Records, whose original plan was to release a split cd with Belfast's Hexxed in 2001.
		The result was a sojourn to Sweden to record "Nadir" - a total grindfest recorded by none other than Mieszko of Nasum, with artwork courtesy of Paul McCarroll (scald).

		Irish death/grindsters Abaddon Incarnate recruited Nasum's Mieszko Talarczyk to handle production duties for _Nadir_, and he seems to have been able to achieve the sound they needed to unleash their aggression.
		While that length may work against Abaddon Incarnate to some extent due to the record becoming a tad tiresome, it is not something I am going to criticize, since it is not reached through any filler tracks or clearly redundant material.
		Rather, Abaddon Incarnate's thundering attack is usually quite reasonably varied, considering the league they play in; add to that the fact that they can create some considerably effective riffs and rhythms and deliver it all in a very competent package, and _Nadir_ becomes a highly interesting addition to any death/grind aficionado's collection.

		In between the two extremes Abaddon utilise a massive mid-paced headbanging groove such as the start of ‘Unclean’ that would be sure to turn any normal live crowd into a schizophrenic and pulsating mass.
		Hell, there are even tiny injections of melody in ‘Come Onto Me’ and ‘She Hates With A Marble Heart’ with their short lead breaks which keep the album from becoming too monotonous, which undoubtedly some people will claim.

		A worthy follow-up to 2001’s “Nadir” which I remember being highly impressed with, “Dark Crusade” sees Abaddon Incarnate even more focused and experienced with international touring under their belt, including a short trip to Australia last year.
		When Abaddon Incarnate break down into heavy grooving Naplam Death style mid-paced parts, the result is devastating and should have heads banging everywhere.
		Groove and metal riffs is something a lot of modern grind/death bands seem to forget as being important which is odd as the early ‘90’s bands provided shining examples of how effective and impactful this can be when used properly.
