		Abbekerk, a village in the Dutch province of North Holland, about ten miles (16 km) north of Hoorn, where there was a Mennonite congregation and church building until the middle of the eighteenth century.
		In the early days there was a kerkepad (church path) through the meadows to Twisk, made by the Mennonites going to church.
		A seat in the church council at Twisk is still occupied by a member living at Abbekerk.
