He is Abdullah son of Alzubair hawaariy alrasoul and his cousin and son of Asmaa bint Abi Bakr and grandson of Abi Bakr ibn Alsiddiq the prophets dear friend.
That's Abdullah's mother, no wonder he isn't going to agree to anything but shurah, but Yazid was born into a rich Islam not a striving struggling one, so I think he would have to be different in the way he thinks and his tenacity to his rule.

He [Abdullah] was Othman's [the fourth Caliph] brother by nursing (rida'ah), and his mother was Ash'ariyyah (Al-Zubayr bin Bikar said that).
Ibn Habban said that his father was one of Quraysh's hypocrite infidels - that's what he said and I haven't seen any other [view].
Whether Abdullah's Islam was good after he came back to Islam or whether he did that to gain the material gains Othman was renown for giving to his relatives (notice that Abdullah ruled Egypt during Othman's reign, but left it afterwards) also doesn't change a thing.

However Muhammad Ibn Ishaq narrated that Ibn Abbas said: it was revealed with regard to a man from the tribe of Bani Salim Ibn Awf called al-Husayni whose two sons converted to Christianity but he was himself a Muslim.
Ibn Kathir does say at the beginning of this quote: Allah says: "There is no compulsion in religion", meaning: do not force anyone to embrace Islam because it is clear, and its proofs and evidences are manifest.
