The Rossignol corporation continued to innovate as demand for their skis grew, producing some of the first plastic skis in the 1960s.
Rossignol's success continued as they bought Dynastar in 1967 and became a publicly traded company in 1969.
In 2005, Rossignol was acquired by the Australian surf company Quiksilver.Today, they are a leading producer of ski and snowboard equiment, as well as equipment for golf and tennis.

Abel Rossignol, also developed a wooden ski design, and by 1911 he had installed a ski production line in the factory.
In 2005, Rossignol was acquired by global sports lifestyle brand Quiksilver, and became the foundation for the creation of the Quiksilver Outdoor/Mountain Group, which integrated the Rossignol wintersports brands with brands already in the Quiksilver family such as GNU, Lib-tech, Bent Metal, Quiksilver Winter Apparel and ROXY Winter Apparel.

In 1907 Abel Rossignol brought back a pair of skis from Norway and subsequently began producing skis at his spindle factory in Voiron, France (Val d’Isère).
