		Terrazo is the name of a book written in 1947 by Puerto Rican writer Abelardo Diaz Alfaro.
		The book won many awards and made it to the national libraries of many Latin American countries where Diaz Alfaro was a known and respected writer.
		Terrazo tells the stories of abuse, racism and suffering of many Puerto Rican Blacks during the 19th century at the hands of Puerto Rico's vast White majority.

		The intent, one imagines, was to say that Rosselló was strong as a bull.
		Remember that in Díaz Alfaro's story, Josco ultimately lost out to the American bull and killed himself.

	Abelardo Díaz Alfaro
		Desde niño estuvo relacionado con la creación literaria, ya que su padre tuvo a cargo la redacción de la revista Puerto Rico Evangélico.
		Más adelante, Díaz Alfaro ingresa al servicio del Departamento del Trabajo, en calidad de investigador de leyes de menores y, en 1947, publica su primera colección de cuentos y estampas de la zona rural que titula Terrazo, obra que destacó a su autor como un consagrado narrador.
		En 1997 Abelardo Díaz Alfaro obtiene el Galardón al Mérito Intelectual del Premio Nacional de Cultura que otorga cada cinco años el Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña.
