These points were made to purchase special abilities called realm abilities which allow for the enhancement of a character in certain ways.

That medal can be taken to another new NPC and turned in for a significant amount of experience points.
Please note that the realm points need not all be earned in the battleground - they can be gained in standard RvR as well.
Once players have participated in a keep raid and reached the required Realm Point level, players go to a new NPC in their home city and receive their medal of valor.

The reason for this is that in medieval times Anglesey was considered to be the granary of Wales, when its lush farmlands fed the barren Welsh highlands and there are remains of nearly 50 windmills scattered across the island.
A 4 mile stretch of sand, between Abermenai Point and the start of Llanddwyn Island, is bordered by the dunes to the east and the Newborough Forest to the west.
The north eastern headland of Anglesey is the narrow rocky Point Lynas with its lighthouse.

The day was dull and with the threat of Force 5 south westerly winds we did not want to set out directly towards Point Lynas to the north west in case we were blown off towards the Lancashire coast.
Still, a north westerly wind would be good for the paddle from Trearddur Bay along the south west facing coast to Abermenai Point.
Once the tide had turned we set off for Abermenai Point some 4 miles distant where we camped on the north side of the spit.

Additionally, a new battleground, Abermenai, has been opened for players to get their very first taste of RVR action at an earlier level.
Characters who are defending their home frontier against invaders with a corpse summoner in their realm will now receive a 15% RP bonus for each enemy relic they currently control (Up to a 60% total bonus) to recognize the added difficulty of defense in this situation and as an additional relic reward.
Once the medal is in a player's posession, it can be taken to the NPC in the capital cities that accepts the battleground medals.

The realm point cap for this battleground is lower than Thidranki(125), but high enough so that players can purchase their first realm abilities at an earlier level.
after numerous failed assaults on dun abermenai, we realise that the gate is just to powerful to knock down with mere axes and nukes, yet no-one can be bothered to get a siege weapon.

We went up into Beaumaris, Tom from Salty Fiddler said 'what you do is go to Gallows Point point, you run up on the beach and drop your kedge anchor onto the beach and get your shore line tied on to something substantial like an old boat'.

We arrived in Abermenai and found ot that we controlled the CK.
Most of my points are allocated to the sim spells, but in RvR that's little more than big sign saying "caster here".
The whole thing was interesting from an Albion perspective and a caster perspective, both of which were new to me. It wasn't as amazing as the Hibernia experience in Abermenai, but it was fun and did have its own experience value, though not points.

At first it looked like a good idea, but with blades at 6 up from lvl 14/15 I guess the misses were at 30%+ on mainhand and I did not like that.
PF21 gives a good damage buff as well as the other goodies including 20+ buffs to STR, QUI, DEX and a running speed buff of 50% in case you need to escape which is handy sometimes.
Well - I was in Abermenai, but with autotrained bow and blue con armor it wasn't that fun ;).

1 point of parry =.5% parry, so you will have 15% parry (with the added 5% base parry percentage).
Don't take some points off of parry to put into slash, the change addition of a few points of slash does not trade off well with the loss of parry.
If you resist the first mez, you will probably be mezzed in the middle of the fight, and that is not good because that's the major point when the armsman is important.

 VN Boards - Capture Abermenai Quest
Today, I was playing in Abermenai with a small group of people, and we took over the center keep.
After we had taken it over, I saw a message to the effect of, "You have completed the Capture Abermenai Quest." I didn't notice any experience gain, and didn't have any new items.
There are two major parts of these additions: we've added a new lower-level battleground for those players levels 15-19, and now you can gain lots of experience by completing each Battleground.

All Assassin classes in 1.62 who had the See Hidden Realm Ability will have that ability stripped from their character and have the points invested in it returned to them, for use in specializing in any other Realm Abilities they wish (including re-investing in See Hidden if they so choose).
This is now fixed and the icons should remain on the quickbar and still point to the correct items in your backpack.
This is why the primary combat style chains for these light tanks are positional in nature - they assume that someone else is holding a monster or enemy player's aggression.

At the end of the last glaciation the Menai Strait lay beneath the meeting point of ice of North Wales origin and that from the north (Irish Sea Ice).
As a result it was moulded, in impart, by the action of both ice and melt water drainage.

Early in the year I decided I would like to try a circumnavigation of Anglesey in one hit,only thing was where to start from as there were so many different options available.
September was looking good for big tides but in August whilst having a couple of weeks off from my post round, I made a spur of the moment decision to go for it.
One of the instructors showed me where the tap was and within about two minutes I was back in my kayak and on my up towards Abermenai Point.

For starting points you should put 10 points into strength, 10 points into constitution, and 10 points into dex.
In keep defense the amount of damage you do will not be enough to get any kills, and if you're up against semi-good enemies and higher they will be able to cast on your before you can get any damaging shots off, if you manage to get any at all.
On weaponskill:  The chance for hitting you opponent without being evaded/parried is increased by the more weapon skill that you have, and your weapon skill goes higher with twohanded weapons.

The forecast was ideal - settled weather, light winds and near neap tides.
The minibus dropped us at the Foryd, near Caernarfon Castle and we turned left, out past Abermenai Point and onto Pilots Cove on Llandwyn Island for a cake stop.
We passed Point Lynas and in a back eddy had to make a decision - out into the tide race and off shore to Puffin Island, or inshore.
