  Abigail Williams
Abigail Williams is an extreme metal band out of Phoenix, AZ - Unremitting and aesthetically repealing and appealing simultaneously, their particular brand of music remains in a league of its own.
While hard to pin-point the sound of this six piece, influences are drawn from melodic death/fl/thrash metal, as well as classical elements, particularly that of the baroque and romantic eras.
The music of Abigail Williams is very epic and extremely visual but with a touch of reality as well.

 Abigail Williams (In-Depth Analysis)
Of the major characters, Abigail is the least complex.
She is clearly the villain of the play, more so than Parris or Danforth: she tells lies, manipulates her friends and the entire town, and eventually sends nineteen innocent people to their deaths.
Abigail is an orphan and an unmarried girl; she thus occupies a low rung on the Puritan Salem social ladder (the only people below her are the slaves, like Tituba, and social outcasts).

The witch trials ended in January 1693, although people already jailed for witchcraft were not all released until the next spring.
The royal appointed governor of Massachusetts, Sir William Phips, disturbed when his wife was accused of witchcraft, ended them by appealing to the Boston-area clergy headed by Increase Mather.
In October 3, 1692, Increase Mather published "Cases of Conscience Concerning Evil Spirits." In it, Increase Mather stated "It were better that Ten Suspected Witches should escape, than that the Innocent Person should be Condemned." Echoes of this phrase can be found in the United States of America's innocent-until-proven-guilty judicial system of today.

Arthur Miller's The Crucible: Fact & Fiction
Abigail Williams is often called Rev. Parris' "niece" but in fact there is no genealogical evidence to prove their familial relationship.
Miller admits in the introduction to the play that he boosted Abigail Williams' age to 17 even though the real girl was only 11, but he never mentions that John Proctor was 60 and Elizabeth, 41, was his third wife.
Abigail Williams probably couldn't have laid her hands on 31 pounds in Samuel Parris' house, to run away with John Proctor, when Parris' annual salary was contracted at 66 pounds, only a third of which was paid in money.
