Abram Marshall Scott (1785–July 12, 1833) was a Democratic Mississippi politician born in South Carolina.
In 1832, he was sworn in as Governor and served until his death by cholera on July 12, 1833.

Abram Scott was involved in two of the three closest elections for governor in Mississippi’s history.
Scott was born in South Carolina in 1785 and migrated to Wilkinson County, Mississippi, as a young man. He became active in politics at an early age and was tax collector of Wilkinson County when the War of 1812 began.
Scott was elected a lieutenant in the First Mississippi Regiment of Volunteers during the War of 1812.

Jonas Gaar and his sons, Abram and John Milton Gaar, and Jonas' son-in-law, William G. Scott were founders of Gaar-Scott and Company, the leading manufacturer of threshing machines and steam engines from 1842 to 1911.

(In Donald Farrimond's historical account of his family he states that Abram Reger lost his military discharge papers and had to submit several lengthy affidavits to show he was indeed the same Abram Reger who served in the War of 1812 and was honorable discharged from the Army in 1815.
Two of her brothers were ministers of the Methodist Episcopal Church, one of whom, the Rev. John W. Reger, was the founder of the Wesleyan University at Buckhannon, W. V., and a member of the Baltimore Conference.
Reger, organized the Methodist Church at Carthage, Ill. Her father was the late Major Abram Reger, and her mother was Leah Ann Brake Reger.
