		Autopsy was an influential death metal band founded in 1987 in the United States of America by Chris Reifert after he left Death.
		Beginning their career with the Severed Survival LP, the band started to later draw heavily on Trouble riffs and dark themes close in style to doom metal.
		Reifert and Coralles continued in a similar style in Abscess.

		It's nice to hear a band exploring such a wide swath of styles and I think it is safe to say that Angra are as alive and vital on Temple of Shadows as they've ever been.
		Bethlehem are not an easy band to recommend to someone of specific tastes, as their sound is so eclectic, with little in the way of catchy riffs or vocal melodies.
		The band approaches the battle stomp of many great Viking metal acts with "Straightening Sharks in Heaven" (gotta give 'em credit for the song titles on this one if nothing else) while "Hate is the Law" has an upbeat energy to it that raises the album out of its malaise, however briefly.

		You’re not going to have these songs stuck in your head or be humming them after hearing them, but as said before, the songs do take on their own sound and, at times, are distinct from each other, which can’t often be said about many death metal albums that have been released in recent years.
		An album of new recordings surfaced called ‘Be Forwarned’ in 1993, but whatever stability the band had was all lost when members were constantly shed and the band shifted from Death row and Pentagram constantly, which led to yet another eventual split.
		While both bands are moving down separate paths, there's a clear sense of both bands freeing themselves from the restraints of what is expected, and allowing themselves to follow where the song should go rather than relying on other peoples perceptions.

		Machetazo nowadays are one of the best Grind bands around, their bunch of splits and their two full lengths speak for themselves.

		Both bands offer up some of their best material to date here, although the recording quality tends to be raw around the edges.
