	Candlemass - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Candlemass then disbanded, partly because the album was unsuccessful and partly because Leif Edling had formed another project under the name of Abstrakt Algebra.
		With Abstrakt Algebra not doing well, Leif suddenly recruited a new line-up under the name of Candlemass and recorded the album Dactylis Glomerata, which was a combination of songs for a new Abstakt Algebra CD and some new material.
		In the meantime, Leif Edling started a new project, Krux, with former Abstrakt Algebra singer Mats Leven and two members of Entombed.

		The man that is behind the swedish doom-legends Candlemass and Abstrakt Algebra has now joined forces with singer Mats Levén (Abstrakt Algebra, Treat, Swedish Erotica, etc.), guitarist Jörgen Sandström and drummer Peter Stjärnvind (both from Entombed) to play doom-metal.
		Musically this lands somewhere between mentioned bands Candlemass and the progressive-like doom of Abstrakt Algebra, with an all-embracing Black Sabbath´ish atmosphere resting over it all.
		The music is heavy as lead and full of feelings with some really great melodies, best shown in the track Enigma EZB where the tempo is driven up to a quicker pace and in Popocatépetl that is a slow song with a heavy groove and a great melody line in the chorus.

		If you think further you might find a band called ABSTRAKT ALGEBRA, which now is the connection to KRUX, a new band that features just Mr Edling, together with the former SWEDISH EROTICA and ABSTRAKT ALGEBRA singer Mats Levén and if you look at the song titles, you start to think what this is about.
		It definitely is Doom Metal, very heavy, not in the CANDLEMASS vein, but rather a little more modern, with some more distortion, sounding like a hybrid of "old" Doom of the BLACK SABBATH vein and ABSTRAKT ALGEBRA, together with Levén's voice, which would fit the description of "rough silk" almost perfectly.
		Easily digestible KRUX is not, some of the songs and passages require repeated listens to open up, another part of the Seventies' legacy in the sound of the Swedes, but if you are into really, really heavy music, then KRUX should be paradise for you.
