I took this photograph of an Abyssinian roller in January 1998.
We were watching Collared pratincoles in the distance when the roller appeared 20m away in a tree.

The Abyssinian Roller is a large bird, nearly the size of a (Common fl-and-gray Eurasian bird noted for thievery) Jackdaw at 28-30 cm.
